SHARE YOUR TIME, TALENT AND TREASURE!
The Time and Talent Survey has been sent by email and postal mail to all parish families, age 16 and older. Prayerfully consider how you can use your talents in our parish. Remember, many hands make light work!
New this year to expedite the annual Planned Financial Support Form, we now have a “fillable” PDF attachment. We appreciate an updated form completed each year for our budgeting process. Please fill this out, save it to your computer, and return it in one of these ways:
- Attach it to an email
- Print the form, put it in an envelope marked “Bookkeeper,” and drop it in the collection basket or the mail.
WE HOPE TO RECEIVE ALL SURVEYS BY APRIL 8. If you have not received your survey, please contact the parish office at (319) 266-3523.
Give Your Child the Gift of Catholic Education
St. Patrick Catholic School is offering a Drop-In Tour Day on Friday, March 29, from 9-11:30 AM. Enter at 615 Washington to learn more about our K-8 program. Let us answer your questions and show you around a Leader in Me Lighthouse School. You can feel the difference when you walk the halls! Faith, academic excellence, and a welcoming community—it's all right here at St. Patrick!
Rollover into Tax Savings in 2019
Don't need all of your 2019 Required Minimum Distribution (RMD)?
Consider an IRA Rollover Gift! You may direct your gift or portions of it to the parish, school's Annual Appeal, capital campaign, Fall Festival, and more. Let us know what you would like to do with it.
If you are 70 ½ or older with an IRA, you are required to start taking a Required Minimum Distribution (RMD). You have to take the distribution whether you need the money for living expenses or not. If you don’t need those proceeds to make financial ends meet, did you know you can gift those proceeds directly to Saint Patrick Parish or St. Patrick Catholic School?
By doing so you pay no income tax on the RMD. More importantly, by doing so you help continue the important spiritual work our parish or school strives to do each and every day. It is important to first of all contact your IRA administrator or Regena in the Parish Office to see how you can roll over into tax savings while helping support our spiritual mission. A specific process and certain forms must be used, and they can help you through the simple steps.
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd
Our new Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) Faith Formation program encourages preschool and kindergarten age students to learn about the Mass and scripture in a hands-on environment. Explore the idea of becoming a catechist or assistant by reading about the program here. For more information, contact Sarah Burke, our new CGS Coordinator, at email@example.com.
NEXT STEP 2020 CAMPAIGN
It's not too late to join in!
Our initial pledge period is over, but we still need your help to pay off our remaining balance. Please contact Regena Huffman in the Parish Office or use a pledge sheet. Thank you for supporting our parish and the renovations and additions which position us to continue our rich tradition of worship, service, faith formation, and Catholic education.
