CHRIST INVITES YOU TO SERVE

Are you looking for ways to experience God in your life? Members of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul invite you to share in their ministry of experiencing God in those we serve. We see Christ in our friends in need, and when we see Christ, we experience God. Jesus told us, “The poor will be with us always.” And they are found all over our diocese, including right here in Cedar Falls. There are families and individuals with limited resources who are having problems paying their rent or utilities and may not even have enough money to buy food or clothes for their children.

It is Christ who asks you to help, it is Christ's children who are in need, and it is Christ who invites you to serve. 

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR CHRISTMAS PROJECT

Saint Vincent de Paul is always in need of volunteers for the Christmas Toy Giveaway. You are invited to help sort the gifts, replenish the tables, and bag the toys for clients. Sign up for one or multiple days. We need YOU! Parents can drop the kids off at school and spend a few hours supporting a worthy cause. Contact Pat Bogenski at [email protected] or 319-266-8625. St. Vincent has shown us a path to live a life of humility. He taught us that we must give our time and serve the poor through which we can find God.

ST. VINCENT CHRISTMAS FOOD AND TOY GIVEAWAY

Application dates for the St. Vincent de Paul Christmas Food and Toy Giveaway are in November and early December. Applicants will need birth certificates for each child to age 12 or a school document stating that you are the guardian. Bring birth certificates for each child to age 12, or a school document stating that you are the guardian.
