Mary Wood Scholarship for a High School Senior 2021
This scholarship was established by the St. Patrick Catholic Daughters Court #2291 in 1999 as an expression of faith in the youth of our parish. The family of Mary Wood has supported this scholarship as well as the parish by donating pop cans and plastic bottles.
ELIGIBILITY
Any person who is a graduating senior, an active member of St. Patrick Church, and planning on continuing their education may apply.
PURPOSE
The purpose of this scholarship is to promote Catholic virtues through educational opportunities. The amount of the scholarship will be $1000.
SELECTION CRITERIA
- Applicant must demonstrate involvement in St. Patrick Church, school, and community activities on a continuing basis.
- Applicant must be applying to attend a post-secondary institution.
- A committee formed by Court CDA #2291 will determine the winner.
APPLICATION PROCESS
Applications are due NO LATER than Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 4:30 p.m. Late applications will not be considered.
The following information must be provided:
- The application form
- A document stating your church, school, and community activities
- An essay of 450-500 words responding to the question “How do you plan to further develop a relationship with God in the next 5 years?” Please note, spelling and grammar in the essay are important.
A committee formed by the CDA Court #2291 will make the selection. Late or incomplete scholarship applications will not be accepted.
