St. Patrick Parish has been blessed with a wonderful, generous monetary donation from Our Lady
of Sorrows Church in Birmingham, Alabama. Parish members there heard about the May 25th tornado and the
massive flooding. Some members of Our Lady of Sorrows have relatives in this area and felt the call of the Holy
Spirit to do what they could to help.
We want to be good stewards of this donation. We are asking parish members to please let us know
if you have sustained tornado or flood damage and are in need of financial help. Perhaps you have expenses
that are not covered by insurance, FEMA, etc. Please don’t feel like your request is too small or too large.
While we can not guarantee financial help, we want to hear about your needs and will consider every request.
Pastoral Care staff will be coordinating this effort. You may contact us at the parish office by phone
at 266-3523 or by email at pastoralcarestpat@cfu.net. Kindly respond by
August 18, 2008.
If your child is in need of school supplies to begin the school year,
please register at the Northeast Iowa Food Bank or call Ruth Orth at
240-7470 for more information.
