Did you know that the social concerns committee oversees the support St. Patrick’s provides to our sister Parish, St. Jean Bosco, located in Cap Haitian, Haiti. Our Parish participates in a national Catholic organization known as the “Twinning” program. This project was started by Harry Hose in Tennessee. It is designed to match up Catholic parishes in the United States with needy parishes in Haiti. Haiti is predominantly Catholic and is the poorest country in the western hemisphere. Our Parish provides financial support to this Parish from the World Responsibility Fund. Donations are also presently being accepted to sponsor teachers at the school in our sister Parish. Thank you for any assistance you are able to provide!!
Did you know that St. Patrick Parish has a ministry specifically designed to assist our elderly and homebound parishioners with transportation needs? In times of need, when a parishioner is unable to locate transportation for doctor appointments, grocery shopping, etc., eight volunteers have generously offered their time and automobiles to provide a “loving lift” to take our parishioners to their desired destination. Thank you to everyone who has volunteered to help with this valuable ministry. If you or a fellow parishioner could benefit from this service, please phone the parish office at 266-3523.
Did you know that St. Patrick Parish invites over 70 families to participate in our annual Christmas Toy Give-away? During this event, families are able to browse and select gifts for their children from tables full of toys and gift cards. They are welcomed with a smile and given a warm cup of coffee while they wait to select their presents. Without your support of this ministry, many children would wake on Christmas Day without gifts to delight in the birth of our Savior. Through your PRESENTS, these families are able, in many ways, to understand the meaning of the PRESENCE of Christ in their lives. Thank you to all who donated to this year’s event!!!
