Rev. Dennis Colter

Rev. Dennis Colter, Pastor

Fr. Colter was born in Waterloo in 1940 and attended Catholic schools there. After graduating from Loras College in 1962, he spent four years in theological seminary in Louvain, Belgium, and was ordained there in 1966. Father was assigned to various parishes and high schools in the Archdiocese of Dubuque and took further degrees from Fordham University in New York, Xavier University in Cincinnati, and the Angelicum in Rome. He has also been Vocation Director for the Archdiocese and a professor of theology at Loras College. In 2010, Fr. Colter attempted to retire but spent most weekends preaching across the country for the Christian Foundation for Children and Aging. In September of 2011 he became full-time Parochial Administrator of St. Patrick and Pastor on March 1, 2012.


Yvette Andersen

Yvette Andersen, Coordinator of 7-12 Youth Ministry

Yvette was born and raised in Aplington, IA, where she attended Timothy Christian School then Aplington-Parkersburg High School. She studied at Franciscan University for a semester and Loras College for three years, earning a Religious Studies degree. After graduation Yvette moved to New Hampton, IA and was the director and youth minister at St. John School of Religion. God blessed Yvette with an amazing year in New Hampton but decided to lead her on a new journey here in Cedar Falls. Yvette joined the St. Patrick staff in July of 2012 as the Coordinator of High School Faith Formation. After two great years in that role, God has called her to a new journey as Coordinator of Grades 7-12 Youth Ministry. Yvette enjoys working to lead the youth of our parish closer to Christ and looks forward to many more years here at St. Patrick Parish.
Jeff Byers

Jeff Byers, Maintenance & Custodial 

Jeff has been the full time custodian/jack-of-all trades at the church since September of 2000. He is married to Kris and has twin boys, Jacob and Lucas. Jeff has enjoyed getting to know many people in the church since starting as a part time employee and learning many new maintenance skills. In his free time, Jeff enjoys playing XBox, exercising, and watching sporting events.



Mary Citta


Mary Citta, Co-Director of Liturgy and Choir Director

Mary joined the staff as Coordinator of Liturgy in June of 2007.   She is also the choir director, an organist and song leader.  Mary has been a musician at St. Pat’s since 1976.    She taught secondary music for 33 years, retiring from Waterloo West High in June of 2007.   Besides working at the church, she is the All-State Chorus Chairperson for the state.  She teaches at camps, directs festivals, judges and mentors through out the state. Mary is married to Steve Citta, the director of bands at Waterloo West High School.  They have two children, Stephanie (Scott) Klein and Joe.   


Regena Huffman

Regena Huffman, Business Administrator

Regena came to St. Patrick in September of 2004 after 12 years at St. Stephen’s Catholic Student Center. She and husband Jan have four grown daughters, all living in the Cedar Valley area. They have seven grandchildren who are a constant source of joy! She is very involved and active at her Church, where she serves as treasurer and assists with the Children’s Ministry program. Interests include spending time with family, reading, making beaded jewelry and attending Indy Racing League events.

Rosi Klemmensen

Rosi Klemmensen, Receptionist & Bulletin Editor

Rosi and Ray will soon be celebrating 40 years of marriage. Our marriage was blessed with two daughters. Our daughter Holly and granddaughters, Olivia and Robyn, live in Winter Garden, FL , and our daughter Heidi and Jesse and grandson, Benjamin, live in Des Moines.  I was born in Iowa and have lived in South Carolina, South Dakota, and Wisconsin but was glad to return to Iowa. I have enjoyed being secretary/receptionist since October 2001. We have one cat, Luna, to entertain us when we are home. I enjoy travelling, scrapbooking, biking, walking, and watching most sports.  I like any kind of chocolate!

Marcia Patin


Marcia Patin, Bookkeeper

Marcia joined our staff at St. Patrick as the bookkeeper in July 2013 when she and her husband, John, moved back to their hometown of Waterloo after living for many years in Freeport, IL. She graduated from West High School, and John graduated from Columbus High School. Previously, Marcia worked the last 9 years as an Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper/Office Manager for a United Methodist church in Freeport. Prior to that she was the Development Director for the Freeport Catholic Schools. She has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Columbia College. John and Marcia have been blessed with 2 children, Ben and Sarah. Marcia likes to spend time with family and friends, travel, read, walk, and shop. She enjoys living closer to family and being a part of the St. Patrick faith community.

Connie Munchoff
  Connie Munchoff, Children's and Family Faith Formation

Connie came to St Patrick Church in January 2013 as the Coordinator of Children's and Family Faith Formation. She graduated from Columbus, has a degree in secondary education and has taught and subbed in several area school districts. Connie also completed the three year Lay Formation program and has done Campus Ministry work. She and her husband Bill have four children and three amazing grandchildren. Connie enjoys spending time with family and friends, 
quilting, reading and being outside. She volunteers for ConKerr Cancer and crochets newborn caps for Covenant. 
Laura Dobson


Laura Dobson, Marketing Coordinator

Laura has been serving as St. Patrick School's Marketing Coordinator since 2012 and now serves as Marketing Coordinator for St. Patrick Parish and School. She is excited about her new role and the opportunities this new approach will bring to the church and school. She is the mother of Kelley, Chris, Courtney and Jon, who is a student at St. Patrick School. Laura holds a B.S. from Tulane University and an M.A from the University of Texas as Austin. She has worked in marketing for local businesses, as an instructor at the University of Northern Iowa and as a geophysicist before moving to Iowa. 

Cindy Taft

Cindy Taft, Faith Formation Office Assistant

Cindy was born and raised in the Queen City of the Ozarks, Springfield, Missouri where she attended St. Agnes Catholic school from 1st grade through high school. She went on to get her B.A. in Speech/Theatre from Drury University in Springfield. While working on her Masters in Theatre at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Missouri, Cindy met her future husband, Steve, when they performed together in a children's play. They have since lived in several different states including Texas, Alabama and Georgia. They moved to Iowa from Louisiana in 2000 with their three sons,and two years later welcomed their daughter. Steve is a Theatre professor at UNI. Cindy enjoys writing children's short stories and wood carving. She is very excited to be working as the Faith Formation secretary with such a wonderful group of people at St. Patrick.

Jodi Wauters, Community Outreach Coordinator

      Jodi Wauters, Community Outreach Coordinator

Jodi joined the staff in November 2012 as Community Outreach Coordinator.  She is married to Chad and has three children, Zak, Whitney and Jaxon. Jodi has enjoyed getting to know the staff and many people at the church. She is excited to see what lies ahead in the partnership between the community and the church. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, exercising, and going to her kids' sporting events.
